1,5 hr. ice-karting race, transfers by car
Daily departure 12:00
There’s nothing more fun than drifting on ice and snow! Winter go-karts will give you a speedy ride on the icy track.
Racing on our ice track trying to beat your lap time record and leaving your friends behind will bring a smile on your lips, or you might even be laughing out loud. You will soon notice, it’s not all about speed but also about driving skills. What is the right time to make your car drift into the corner? How to get out of the corner faster than anyone else? Come and figure this out! Our timing system will record your laptimes and post them on to a display for you to see and compare with your friends. No driver’s license is needed for ice-karting, so also children can participate – if they are tall enough to reach the pedals on the ice-karts (app. 140 cm).
75 € / adult
38 € / child (10-14 years)
- return transfers from your accommodation in Ounasvaara or Santa Claus Village and a pick-up point in city center Rovaniemi
- winter clothing
- guided excursion according to program description and given information
What we about this tour:
“Ice-karting is great fun! In case you know go-karting, well just imagine that in an arctic outdoor setting, with an icy track that just might make you spin if your speed-control fails! Which it will, because you get into the driving quickly and just want to enjoy the fun and speed!
I would recommend this to friends and also for families with older children. Children are allowed to drive the karts, in case they are app 140 cm tall, so that they can reach the pedals.”
All daily departures are available throughout the winter season, 1.12.2019 – 31.3.2020, or due to prevailing weather and snow conditions. Daily Departures are operated for min 2 persons paying the adult fare (2 persons / snowmobile). Private excursions are available for min 8 persons (adult fare 2 persons / snowmobile).
Our snowmobiles are locally produced, BRP Lynx Rave, Xtrim and Boondocker–models. We have selected this model, as they are extremely comfortable to drive and as they are gentle to the environment, they are practically smoke and smell free.
Children travel in a sledge pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. In case a child prefers to travel as a passenger of a snowmobile, he / she must be tall enough to reach the handles and treads and strong enough to hold on tight. When a child travels on the snowmobile and not in a sledge pulled by a snowmobile, adult price (2 person / snowmobile) applies.
The snowmobiles and you as the snowmobile driver or passenger are covered by our insurance. The self-liability on damage of snowmobiles is max. 1 000 € / snowmobile. With a self-liability waiver (19 €) you reduce the self-liability to max 299 € / snowmobile. Every safari starts with instructions on driving and safety.
You will always be kitted with proper winter gear: thermal overall, boots, woollen socks, balaclavas and gloves or mittens for our safaris and excursions. Your own jacket and shoes remain at the safari house during the tour.
